On Friday, May 1, Fable & Sow returns to The Clutter Gallery, located at 20 Kent St. inside the Kube Center in Beacon, New York, for a lively evening of improv, celebrating the work of our advanced troupe, The Agreement. This marks the second time this ensemble has come together in performance, and what unfolds is a reflection of deep process, rigorous play, and the courage to step into the unknown together.
Developed by Connor Bond and Hamp Fluker, The Agreement is an advanced, conservatory-style improv experience for actors and artists ready to expand the possibilities of improvisation. This performance offers a window into that work, where the troupe brings to life a range of forms they have devised themselves, alongside elements of clowning, character exploration, and fully realized improvised worlds.
A tentative paint-and-sip from 5 to 7pm may open the evening, offering a space to gather, settle, and connect in community. The performance runs from 8 to 10 pm, inviting you into a space where a blank stage becomes everything, where connection is immediate, and where the unseen becomes vividly real.
What you will witness is not improv chasing the quick laugh, but improvisation rooted in stillness, presence, and the life of each moment. Using story, character, and scene as anchors, these performers invite you into a space of deep listening, imagination, and trust.
It is an evening shaped by presence, play, and discovery. A celebration of how we gather, how we create, and how we come alive together. Bound to be a wonderful night. Come out and support.
