We are so honored to call Ayanna part of the FableFam! She has taught us and continues to teach us so much every day. Ayanna Sanaa Davis is a passionate autism advocate, artist, and author who uses her platform, Phenomenally Autistic, to promote awareness, inclusion, and representation for Black autistic individuals. Diagnosed later in life, Ayanna channels her lived experiences into empowering others through storytelling, children’s books, and advocacy work. She has illustrated over 35 books and frequently speaks about the importance of early diagnosis, self-love, and celebrating neurodiversity. Her mission is to ensure that all young people especially those from underrepresented communities see themselves reflected, valued, and supported.

“The biggest stereotype is that Black girls and Black women are not autistic. That’s why a lot of Black women and girls go undiagnosed for so long, if they’re even given a diagnosis.” - Ayanna Davis

We are so immensely proud of these three artists!

Margaret will also be leading a writing workshop with Emily Dykman at the festival. She wrote and performed in THE APEX, a finalist in the Aery Theater 20/20 one-act festival in September 2025 at the Philipstown Depot Theater, directed by Fable and Sow actor Amanda Amadei. Her monologue A VISIT WITH GREAT AUNT ALICE was read at the Beyond the Curves performance at Gallery 40 in Poughkeepsie in July 2024.

Check out, Gabriel Pages!

Gabriel Pages has been a student with Fable & Sow since the beginning, and we are so proud of him and his accomplishments, from being cast in Putnam Valley Theatre Alliance’s Dirt as George Washington to many other roles around the Lower Hudson Valley. We are delighted to see him flourish and are excited to share that Gabriel is in a new play, Lodeston, at the Circle Theatre Festival! Details and a link for more information are provided below.

Congrats again, Gabe!

When: Aug 30th - Oct. 19th, 2025

Where: AMT Theatre

Description:

Lodestone by Constance Lake is experimental theater, incorporating dance, an immersive soundscape, and video as play. Part fever dream, part operatic love story, it explores loss, dreams, and the discovery of language. Masks, maps, a bardic bird, and deep time grandmothers will be present. A bold, immersive work that invites audiences not just to watch, but to feel their way through the shadows.
