We are so honored to call Ayanna part of the FableFam! She has taught us and continues to teach us so much every day. Ayanna Sanaa Davis is a passionate autism advocate, artist, and author who uses her platform, Phenomenally Autistic, to promote awareness, inclusion, and representation for Black autistic individuals. Diagnosed later in life, Ayanna channels her lived experiences into empowering others through storytelling, children’s books, and advocacy work. She has illustrated over 35 books and frequently speaks about the importance of early diagnosis, self-love, and celebrating neurodiversity. Her mission is to ensure that all young people, especially those from underrepresented communities, see themselves reflected, valued, and supported.

“The biggest stereotype is that Black girls and Black women are not autistic. That’s why a lot of Black women and girls go undiagnosed for so long, if they’re even given a diagnosis.” - Ayanna Davis
