The Playground
The Playground is a fun, lively, and freeing improv class for adults 18 and older, led by Connor Bond of Fable & Sow Theatre Farm.
This class invites participants to rediscover the joy of play, exploring the spontaneity, imagination, and freedom that make improvisation such a powerful tool both on stage and in life.
In The Playground, students will dive into the fundamentals of improv through games, exercises, and collaborative scenes that encourage risk-taking, creativity, and quick thinking. The class is designed to teach human beings to play again—to reconnect with curiosity, joy, and the confidence that comes from trusting yourself and your fellow players. It’s a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment, where laughter, mistakes, and bold choices are all celebrated.
Beyond the fun, improv offers tremendous benefits for actors and non-actors alike:
• For actors: strengthens listening, spontaneity, character creation, and scene work
• For everyday life: enhances communication, adaptability, confidence, and problem-solving skills
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your performance skills, meet new people, or just tap back into the joy of play, The Playground is your space to experiment, laugh, and grow. Step in, let go, and see where the game takes you!
About The Instructor:
Connor Bond is an actor and educator living in Beacon, NY. He received his MFA in Acting from UC Irvine and has taught and performed improv in New York City and in the Hudson Valley for almost a decade. Growing up with a background in jazz and musical theater in Portland, OR, his teaching comes from a place of musicality and play. He's very excited to be collaborating with Fable & Sow to develop advanced, grounded and expansive offerings to the Hudson Valley community.
The Playground is a fundamentals improv class. All levels are welcome.
