Join us for a two-day intensive workshop focused on audition technique with comedic material for TV & Film with JODI COLLINS. We will explore the essence of comedy within the scripts provided and its movement. Throughout the workshop, we will identify your unique rhythms that feel organic and authentic to you and apply them to the script. Additionally we will engage in a WORKOUT session using only your words. On Day One, students will explore and prepare assigned TV & Film sides. On Day Two, students will participate in an On-Camera mock callback with their prepared and memorized scene.About the Instructor
Jodi Collins is a seasoned casting director, producer, talent manager, and creative consultant with over twenty years in the entertainment industry. Founder of JLC Entertainment Group, she specializes in representing and developing hybrid performers and writers, many of whom have held key roles on networks like HBO, Hulu, and ABC. Jodi is known for her expertise in scouting under-the-radar comedy talent, which has earned her a strong reputation in the field. She has championed talents like Michelle Buteau, Amy Schumer, and even discovered Kate McKinnon! Jodi's unique perspective merges alternative performance with commercial viability, making her a sought-after figure in the industry. As an Industry Consultant and On-Camera Workshop Advisor for Fable & Sow, she will provide insights and lead workshops for the Hudson Valley performing arts community.
