The Playground introduces improvisation as a practice of listening, availability, generosity, imagination, and ensemble. Rather than approaching improvisation solely as comedy or quick thinking, actors learn how to relinquish control, respond truthfully to offers, build circumstances together, and discover what becomes possible when they stop trying to predetermine an outcome.
Games and ensemble exercises build spontaneity, courage, responsiveness, and trust while creating a space where failure is understood as part of discovery.
Ages 21+.
Following registration, all participants will receive Fable & Sow’s Adult Participation & Studio Acknowledgment by email. The acknowledgment must be reviewed and signed before participating in the first class.
Member Tuition: $325
Founding Members may choose to register at Member Tuition without using a Studio Credit, or apply one $100 Studio Credit.
Member Tuition without Studio Credit: $325
Member Tuition after one $100 Studio Credit: $225
Founding Member registration is handled directly through the studio so we can correctly apply your Member Tuition and available membership credits.
